Dr. Estes attended medical school at the University of Iowa and went on to complete his orthopedic training at MUSC in 2001. He continued orthopedic training in sports medicine at the Hughston Clinic in Columbus, GA, and following his sports medicine fellowship, practiced orthopedics in Iowa for three years. He returned to Charleston in 2005.
Dr. Estes is board certified to treat all aspects of orthopedics but specializes in the arthroscopic treatment of shoulder, knee and elbow injuries.
He married his college sweetheart, Jana. They have a daughter named Ellaree and three Shetland Sheepdogs. In his spare time, he enjoys golf and triathlons.

Dr. McKoy has extensive experience in all aspects of orthopedics with particular interest in sports medicine. After completing a fellowship in sports medicine at the Hughston Clinic, he practiced orthopedics in Georgia before returning to Mount Pleasant to establish Southern Orthopedics and Sports Medicine with Dr. Billy Estes. Dr. McKoy earned his undergraduate degree at the College of Charleston and completed his medical school and orthopedic residency at MUSC.
Dr. McKoy's greatest enjoyment comes from being with his family - his wife Kendall and their 5 beautiful children, Eden, Holland, Morey, Maggie and Boaz. His desire is to glorify the Lord by providing excellent orthopedic care to all of his patients.
